What an exciting week this has been. I have been absolutely flabbergasted by the amazing creativity that this “Peacock” challenge has spawned. This group, The 52 Week Illustration Challenge is comprised of about 6,000 artists from all over the world. It is open to all persons of all age and artistic ability. Every day more and more interesting and creative offerings appeared to enrich my day! Bliss! This week my offering comes with the seed of a story, which may grow up to become a book. Here it is.

PEACOCK’S PRIDE

Peacock is dissatisfied with his tail. He drinks from a magic puddle. Makes wishes for a tail like a fox, a raven, a fish, etc. All pose problems. Returns to his own tail but is still dissatisfied. He passes a hairdresser’s establishment. Goes in. Comes out with rainbow feathers. Happiness!
